Assistant Executive Manager

Main Responsibilities
Financial: Satisfied Shareholders
• Assist with driving financial targets and work on problem areas.
• Together with Executive Manager, prepare for Monthly Management account meetings and to assist with investigation of Management Account variances.
• Delivered project results to parameters (cost, time, quality).
• Research and present cost saving innovation.
• Assisted in enhancing the credibility & value add of all operational departments.
Customer Service: Delighted Customers
• Performs Operations Manager duties on an ad hoc basis to the standard of service and service experience expected.
• Assists departments to deliver services to the expectations – works with department managers to determine causes of underperformance on operational standards and recommends improvements.
• Monitor and manage key service expectations; build long-term relationships.
• Helps to create a climate of teamwork and cross-organizational cooperation to enable improved service results.
• External relationships enable achievement of operational department objectives.
• Provides operational relief role for selected operational roles.
Processes: Effective Processes
• Assists Executive Manager to ensure that all aspects of the business operations are managed to the highest of standards.
• Works on projects to promote proactive service delivery, health and safety and operational efficiency.
• Provide Health and Safety expertise to the responsible manager.
• Implementation of improvements with regards to all operational procedures.
• Assisting with operational Labour Relations issues.
• Chairing disciplinary hearings and assist with grievances.
• Assists to Optimize/improve organisation, systems and processes in ways that delivered productivity gains & service excellence.
• Works to solve operational problems on an ad hoc basis in multiple departments.
• Risks arising from operational departments are identified and effectively managed to optimise value.
• Ensure operational departments are governance & regulatory compliant with emphasis on operational and facilities risk – regular improvements to policies, processes & practices implemented.

• Assist the Operations and HR functions to identify training needs.
• Provides leadership to all departments to achieve Vision 2030,
• Processing of Partnering Initiatives with all HOD’s.
• Modelled Brand Benchmarks & Main vision & values.
• Communicate leadership agenda; produce and delivered through direct reports.
Innovation
• Introduced best practice, innovations & continuous improvement in support of operational departments & Private goals – see it through.
• Works to create a pipeline of breakthrough opportunities in the operational departments.
• Actively builds a culture of improvement in operational departments to ensure optimization of the function as business demands change.
