In addition to running a tight ship, typical work for this position includes:
*Providing customers with the high level of service that they’ve come to expect at Adventure HQ stores while building relationships with new customers, and maximizing the potential of each of these relationships.
*Maintaining store image, while staying faithful to brand guidelines, company guidelines, and health and safety standards; guaranteeing that all necessary maintenance occurs in a timely manner.
*Managing team schedules and performance on a day to day level, while overseeing attendance, overtime, and payroll.
*Maintaining the store team by recruiting and training members, leading daily discussions to motivate and inform the team, and supervising so that responsibilities are covered to the highest standard.
*Controlling miscellaneous budgeted activities, as well as handling non-budgeted incidents as they occur, and keeping an eye on profitability of merchandise.
*Achieving sales targets and outcomes on schedule, through individual efforts and coordinated efforts with other team members across departments of the organization.
*Exhibiting product knowledge acquired through price lists and product literature to submit orders, and promote products and services.
*Ensuring availability of merchandise and maintaining inventories, while keeping an eye on the market and trends to formulate pricing policies and sales activities.
*Managing stock, ensuring that all orders, instructions, and replenishment is done on time and organized in the stockroom efficiently.
*Creating regular reports on changes and activities instore based on a dashboard created to monitor store performance.
*Analyzing sales figures and forecasting for future sales, as well as preparing targets for the department.
