Business Development Specialist

– Quantifies business intelligence with economic models to evaluate new opportunities.
– Care for collections through proper conservation techniques, providing guidance and reference services to other archives users.
– Assists with core business development activities, such as communicating with clients and competitors to better understand business trends.
– Seeks out new market insights and business opportunities through research and analysis.
– Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Business Development Specialist
– Evaluates, determines, and realizes quarterly business growth goals.
– Creates a business development database in order to evaluate performance and organize client and prospective client information.
– Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business and enhancing organization reputation.
– Generating leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects.
– Understanding and keeping up-to-date with constant developments in the communications industry and agency market
– Developing a targeted long-term new business strategy to also encompass regional and international agencies/media owners and foster growth in these key areas for the future
– Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
– Delivering against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
– Working closely with the Sales department to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects
– Maximizing networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts
– Advertising: Designs (or contracts with and provides oversight to outside vendors to design).
– Website and Promotional Materials: updates, and maintains on-line and print marketing and business development materials for the firm and for attorney’s profiles, practice descriptions, brochures, and electronic newsletters. Also oversees mailing list creation and updates.
