Since 2007, IRC has worked with refugees and other vulnerable populations in Jordan. IRC’s programs in Jordan focus on urban interventions in the north that address gender-based violence specifically violence against women and girls for Syrian refugees and host community members as well as reproductive health care to Syrian refugees through two clinics based in Ramtha and Mafraq. Since January 2013, IRC also carries out Child Protection programs in Syrian refugee camps, providing specialized services for the identification, support and protection of unaccompanied children (UAC) and other children at risk.
Job Overview/Summary: The coordination officer will be responsible for coordinating the activities carried out at the IRC health facility at Zatari refugee camp in coordination with senior health officer / zaatari clinic in charge.
Major Responsibilities: The coordination officer will be responsible for performing the following specific activities;
Under delegation of the senior health officer, attend relevant coordination meetings in the Zatari camp.
Attend coordination conducted in the camp meetings to represent IRC and share the progress and issues related to health services provided at the health facility
To coordinate with local authorities including MoH, UNHCR, UNFPA and other health partners in the Zatari camp related to the IRC health activities in coordination with the Senior Health Officer.
Reporting vaccination report in coordination with senior health officer to MOH and UNICEF ON weekly basis.
Share all camp update with senior health officer.
Act as liaison officer/focal point for all the referrals conducted at the IRC with other NGOS, Follow up on the feedback according to the referral system in coordination with SHO.
Follow on the communicable disease with MOH and other NGOS under delegation from SHO and update if there are outbreak.
Ensure that all the standard operating procedures are followed while providing referral services to the patients
Ensure functional integration with other programs, specifically Child protection Programme in the camp
Be involved in any other activities in coordination with SHO; such as the development of emergency preparedness planning and training, according to the needs.
Organize meetings of the cross-NGOS Coordination Group to coordinate any issues related to project implementation and Prepare summary reports at the camp level.
Keep feedback on HIS system in coordination with UNHCR, MOH, and NGOS.
Facilitate the approval of any needed issues at the camp level(MOH, SRAD, NGOS)
