General Manager

Duties and responsibilities
• Manage site operations, in a safe, environmentally compliant, and effective manner,
• Utilizes metrics and reports to identify trends, make course corrections to maximize production efficiency and profitability of the unit.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve site, region or company performance.
• Proactively communicates with leadership about site performance and situations that may impact the achievement of budget or other operational priorities.
• Prepares and adheres to annual operating budget.
• Provides customer service and sales support for sales or service issues and assists with sales, potential partnerships, and customer relations/retention activities.
• Fosters an environment of Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement. Ensures that standardized work practices are exercised daily, including Standard Operating Procedures, daily good housekeeping checklists, quality checks are completed to meet customer specifications, fire / safety and preventative maintenance work orders (Manager+) are 100% complete, on-time.
• Leads a team of managers responsible for day to day plant/facility operations and inbound collections.
• Partners with Sales Leads to ensure product delivery.
• Provides support to the operations on a 24/7, on-call/as-needed basis and will be required to travel.
• Serves as the local community interface representing Modern Recycling Factory.
