Incident Investigation & Learning Specialist

Job Purpose
– The main purpose of the Incident Investigation & Learning Specialist is to ensure proper root cause andcorrective actions are initiated for every incident within the organization.
Principal Accountabilities
– Establishes a method for investigating incidents
– Conducts training on investigation methods to the HSE team
– Enhances the culture of reporting each and every incident including near misses
– Maintains records of all investigations with all attachments in an manner where it is easily retrievable andaccessible
– Investigates each and every incident including near misses and determines the root cause to avoidrecurrence
– Initiates corrective and preventive actions and ensures that the actions are implemented
– Conducts follow up for every actions initiated from corresponding incidents
– Records and maintains lessons learned document
– Has input in preparation of risk assessments based on the lessons learned from incidents
– Recommends industry best practices to prevent incidents
– Reports to and supports the Project Safety Engineer and HSE Manager as and when required
– Interacts with all concerned within the project or organization when investigating incidents
