Occupational Health Specialist

1. Job Purpose
– The main purpose of the Occupational Health Specialist is to develop, establish and implement a regime toenable healthy work place environment for ESEC employees
Principal Accountabilities
– Obtains copies of all initial medical checks conducted on employees prior to issuance of Iqama andmaintains a medical history track for all the employees
– Establishes a method/process of identifying chemical, physical, radiological biological hazards in theworkplace
– Collect samples and conducts tests for potential toxic materials for analysis
– Periodic Inspection and evaluation of workplace environments, equipment’s and practices to ensure thathealth standards and government regulations are being followed
– Seek to increase worker productivity by reducing absenteeism
– Collect first aid cases data and analyze for appropriate corrective actions to reduce first aid cases
– Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work conditions
– Increase knowledge by reading professional safety literature, attending courses, seminars on workplace/occupational health standards
– Reports to and supports the HSE Manager
– Interacts with all concerned within the project or organization as and when required
