Receiving Clerk

Main Responsibilities
Financial: Satisfied Shareholders
• Submit claims for damaged or incorrect deliveries
• Ensure to comply with Loss Prevention procedures
• Maintain stock levels and comply with the brand stocking procedures
• Ensure that FIFO (First In, First Out) system is used
• Monitor par levels and conduct inventory of products
Customer Service: Delighted Customers
• Ensure that all Food and Beverage products and amenities are correctly stored for efficient distribution
• Ensure that all products received are of the highest quality
Processes: Effective Processes
• Receive, unload and move incoming shipments and deliveries
• Check in, scan, and/or enter items into inventory management system
• Count and compare quantities received against freight bills and purchase orders, visually inspect deliveries for damage and record discrepancies
• Maintain receiving logs and prepare and submit reports as requested
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow health and safety and HACCP/Cold Chain guidelines
• Maintain stock levels and comply with the brand stocking procedures.
• Takes the lead in working collaboratively with store management to determine efficiency of stockroom layout
• Able to identify when processes / practices have loss prevention implications and raises this through the correct channels
• Regularly reviews business audits and standard checks, resulting in timely action plans to ensure efficiency of the receiving function.
• Monitor par levels and conduct inventory of products
