Being a Regional Retail Operations Manager at Salam Stores is unlike any other experience, it’s a Salam Experience. Regional Retail Operations Manager is responsible for creating, developing and implementing the Regional Retail Operations Manager in compliance with Salam Studio & Stores
standards and policies. As Regional Retail Operations Manager, you will oversee all operations of Salam’s department stores, mono brand boutiques and concept stores across 4 countries.
• Department Store, MonoBrand, Concept Store Operations
oResponsible for Salam store operations over 68 Point-of-Sale locations (5 Major Department Stores, 5 Multi-Brand Concept Stores, 48 MonoBrand boutiques) as per company policy.
o Improve commercial performance of stores in 4 countries by increasing our sales turnover and maximizing profitability – through people, process, product and KPI’s.
o Maintain and improve profit margins, sell-through percentages, UPT, AVT, conversation rates, sales per square meter, GMROII, GMROF and GMROL for all locations.
o Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to company standards
o Ensure low shrinkage ratios by conducting consistent stock-take exercises and stock control
o Maintain and ensure health, safety, legal and security standards while resolving issues that occur o Ability to manage all departments and locations: Mens, Ladies, Childrens, Gifts, Accessories, Home, Luggage, etc.
• Sales & Service
o Hold regular sales meetings with retail managers to ensure proper work flow
o Consistently analyze sales figures while forecasting future sales and trends
o Knowledge of I.T. systems (Oracle preferred) to record and read sales figures for data analysis o Manage & motivate a diversified team to increase sales and efficiency
o Keeping a consistent presence on the sales floor and with management to connect with colleagues and customers, resolving issues and ensuring
everyone is having a great Salam Experience
• People Management
o Coaching, managing, supporting, and motivating the Retail Managers
o Evaluating and appraising the performance of the Retail Managers
o Being responsible for further developing subordinate positions of Retail Managers
o Ensuring the planning, monitoring, and appraisal of all employees’ work results by Retail Managers and to coach and discipline employees, scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving team grievances
o Communicating and working with middle and upper management as needed to carry out job responsibilities and maintain company standards
o Communicating and working with Buying & Merchandising, Marketing, Engineering, Human Resources, Accounts, General Services, Logistics and all other intertwined departments
o Preparing full periodic reports for Retail Director about P&L o Ensuring proper implementation of organizational strategies and protocols
o Undertaking other related duties assigned by the Retail Director
– Operations expenses budget and monitoring, Profitability
– Be responsible for the store daily consumption budget, including daily expenses, maintenance, packaging, and security, etc.
– Cooperate with Finance team to ensure the budget is closely monitored and actively managed
Full P&L responsibility
– Sales Forecasting, Profitability and Margin increase is your priority
New Store Openings
– Project leader of new store opening projects, leasing with external and internal partners, ensure a smooth process and on time accomplishment
