Applications Operations Assistant Manager – Zain Group

The job holder is responsible for supervising application operations and maintenance to ensure implementation according to set standards and timeframes.
Strategy Management:
* Set related section performance objectives, in coordination with head of related department and continuously monitor progress and development towards organizational and section strategic objectives and communicate periodic performance reports to provide evaluation results and recommend improvements.
Function and Team Management:
* Implement and suggest improvement to related section policies, process and standard operating procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled .
* Review key performance indicators results, suggest improvement and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed.
Applications Operations Supervision:
* Provide subject matter expertise in the applications operations area.
* Drive the decisions on applications operations designs and plans in the context of the larger Technology landscape.
* Ensure that the IT systems and applications are running optimally and are monitored 24×7 by developing and maintaining all processes and documentation.
Support Provision:
* Ensure the provision of application support including end user support and service desk in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the applications platform.
* Supervise and support applications-related daily activities ensuring timely satisfaction of user needs.
* Approve the roll-out of new applications and updates after testing and ensure the provision of training on use as and when required.
* Review and approve all acceptance documents and request for changes and ensure implementation.
Improvement Opportunities:
* Supervise the analysis of existing IT systems and procedures, and recommend modification programs and user procedures to best meet business needs.
* Provide advice and support to different departments to ensure the best use of technological capabilities in application/infrastructure in order to achieve business objectives.
* Detect recurrent incidents and regular problems that arise and conduct root cause analysis on in order to ensure the efficient flow of operations.
Performance Management:
* Monitor, audit, control and report on daily execution of applications ensuring alignment to related KPIs, SLAs, and processes.
People Management:
* Act as a focal point between staff and head of related division to enhance internal communication .
* Motivate staff, assist in conducting the performance and conduct guidance on training programs to maximize employees' performance.
