Assistant Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

Company Brief:
Our client is a leading multinational company in Freight Forwarding seeking to recruit an “Assistant Manager / Manager – Freight” for Kuwait. Position will be reporting to the Director of Sales.
Job Requirements:
• Graduate in Marketing or related field, expert in MS Office
• 7 years’ experience minimum in freight forwarding
• To plan and carry out business development and sales activities to grow the freight forwarding and logistics business in Kuwait
• To develop freight forwarding sales through implementing the Miller Heiman sales methodology to obtain successful results
• Deliver exceptional sales growth for the freight forwarding business across all industry verticals
• Liaise with origin offices with a focus to build regional and global accounts by sharing Sales Leads and Intelligence
• Develop SOPs with specify accounts of strategic interests Help assist Sales Managers and Executives on freight related opportunities
• Help standardize processes with coordination between Kuwait Sales and Freight Department and implement programs on freight activities
• Ensure the most cost effective means of transporting customer shipments while at the same time meeting or exceeding customer expectations for service and cost
• Conduct detailed study on both potential and existing accounts to help promote freight forwarding and other logistics business through focusing on supply chain solutions to customers
• Monitor and analyse all aspects of freight forwarding project operations to ensure optimum productivity and resource utilization
• Grow and expand customer base from local to regional and global scopes and providing higher revenue margins to help meet and exceed freight forwarding and other GIL P&L targets
• Focus on strategic and Key Account Management to help build long term business relationships and help achieve the desired volumes
• Propose business plans, upstream consolidations, and multimodal options to help capture end to end scopes and provide supply chain solutions
• Help build critical success strategies supported by sound negotiating tools and skills within the Sales Department and GIL with the core focus and foundation based on freight management
• Evaluate, source and negotiate the most reliable and cost effective agreements with carriers at origins or locally to assist the Sales Team in closing business
• Good Presentation, Creative, freight forwarding managerial experience Logical and Self motivated
• Customer focused, Team Player
• Good command in English
• Excellent Leadership, Team Spirit and Communication Skills
• NOC is a must / has completed 2 years in Kuwait
