Bakery/Confectionary Manager

Provides the greatest service experience consistently for all customers, and ensures that they receive the highest quality product possible.
Ensures all company policies, store operating standards and procedures are communicated effectively to team and are maintained and consistently followed.
Ensures store appearance and equipment are maintained to the highest possible standards, and follows safety and security guidelines to create and maintain the safest environment possible for partners and customers.
Organises work throughout the store to deliver efficient, speedy customer service and profitable operation.
Identifies and constantly monitors quality issues in relation to service, environment, staffing levels, team competence, operating procedures, and decides responses/actions to maintain the highest possible standards in all areas
Maximises store profitability by seeking opportunities to increase sales, managing inventory effectively, and controlling materials / staff costs. Wholly accountable for the store’s financial contribution, pproducing daily, weekly and quarterly financial reports.
Manage stock movements by maintaining par level of stocks and control ordering, waste and variance.
Ensures all cash handling and cash register functions are performed in an accurate and consistent manner, and in full accordance with company procedures
Decides how to manage costs within budget, identifies/implements methods of increasing sales.
Assesses compliance with standards, decides action to control/improve.
Follows policy and procedure for operational flow at Baking station.
Follows standards for Baking, merchandising, stock rotation and storing of all products, merchandising, stock rotation and storing of all products, maintaining professional presentation at all times, demonstrating clear communication in all customer and team interactions.
Follows daily objectives within service demand / duty schedules to ensure store is clean and stock is rotated and merchandised.
Ensures the proper types and amounts of materials, supplies and merchandise are ordered and stocked.
Decides optimum stock levels against sales, inventory costs and budget.
Trains and develops employees to customer service standards, operating standards and ‘Excellent’ skills.
Effectively communicates new product information to partners.
Continuously reviews each team member’s skills and decides targets for /methods to achieve improvement and maintain standards.
Expects and encourages full participation of partners in creating store goals and developing plans.
Decides how to share goals with partners, how to motivate them, and how to manage achievement.
Determines daily and weekly staffing requirements.
Carries out job interviews, contributes to hiring and termination decisions. Schedules team work hours, vacations and days off. Resolves team complaints and concerns.
Provides ongoing performance feedback, carries out formal performance reviews and recommends salary review. Counsels team when necessary.
Decides staff required based on skills / potential, and day-to-day operating issues. Assesses performance, recommends hiring / terminations.
