Branch Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

Company Brief:
Our client is a global leader in Insurance and Re-insurance solutions, seeking to recruit a Branch Manager for Dubai. Position will be reporting to the Country Manager and Group COO.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Accounting (or any equivalent) or Advanced Diploma in Insurance from ACII (or any equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 passed training courses in insurance or insurance brokerage
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an insurance company or brokerage, decreased to a minimum 5 years of experience if educational background is superior to requirements
• Knowledge in financial planning and strategy formulation
• Knowledge of the insurance market in the UAE
• Knowledge of the processes, procedures and operations of insurance firms and brokerages
• Ensures the proper implementation of the established policies and procedures in the branch and conducts training sessions on their proper implementation
• Oversee the development and implementation of the branch strategy and business plan, in accordance with Group strategy
• Develop yearly budget, monitor budget expenditure and deviation
• Review quarterly and yearly financial statements, and present them to the Group management
• Develop branch policies and procedures and ensure their implementation, in line with Group policies and country regulations
• Develop service standards, performance benchmarks and branch objectives, in coordination with Management and in line with Group strategy
• Oversee branch operations, identify performance improvements and ensure their implementation
• Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas, and project branch profits based on sales volume forecast
• Monitor achievement of planned sales targets, and provide recommendations on performance where needed
• Develop a portfolio of clients for the company and attract clients from personal portfolio
• Meet regularly with new individual and corporate clients as well as insurance companies to expand the branch’s existing book of business
• Ensure all insurance policies are in line with underwriting guidelines
• Manage issuance of different reports, and report them to Group Management
• Manage conflicts with customers in case of escalation of problems
• Motivate, manage and develop branch employees on a day-by-day basis
• Develop and train solid sales teams, in coordination with Management and Group HR department
• Handle matters relating to ongoing recruitment of branch employees, including interviews and hiring, in line with Group HR policies and procedures
• Act as the official representative of the company in front of governmental and regulatory authorities
• Stay updated on the latest regulation changes and make sure necessary actions are taken ensure branch is fully compliant with governmental requirements at all times Performs other related duties as assigned or requested by his direct superior
