Business Manager-Jewelries & Accessories – Harmony Connections

• Ownership of Brand contracts and commercial terms for all markets
• Drive Brand strategy to meet agreed business growth plans
• Deliver category sales, gross margin and turnover performance to plan
• Work with the Finance team to monitor overall inventory levels to plan and forecast.
• Identify and evaluate sales and gross margin opportunities at the department level.
• Work closely with the Head of Merchandising & Planning and distribution partners to develop and manage financial plans.
• Identify and implement cost reduction strategies in order to improve profit margins
Brand Relations
• Drive decision-making and problem solving on supplier / brand / partner issues
• Manage all aspects relating to the shipments, logistical processing and allocation function.
• Promote a “win-win” approach with all key brand partners.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of OTB at the division and group level.
• Maintain Division OTB to manage forward buys in-line with department inventory targets.
• Provide ongoing feedback and information to team members on sales results, competitive practices, and delivery issues with vendors, and other specific information which could impact the performance of the business.
• Monitor Open to Buy (OTB) limits and inventory budgets and devise strategies to improve stock turns
Inventory Management
• Use sales data to analyze past performance and forecast future sales in order to plan future budgets and inventory levels across the assigned brands for all markets
• Monitor and track product performance and provide inputs to the merchandising team on new and existing product lines
• Manage and approve Brand Markups and Retail Prices.
• Establish and maintain intensive key item, key brand/class, and key location focus.
• Monitor and forecast inventory levels at the division and location level.
• Manages and approves Replenishment merchandise for the divisions based on model stock and trends to achieve optimal sales, profit and inventory performance.
• Identify slow and best sellers in inventory, and respond to maximize sales and minimize risks.
• Determine markdown strategy and ensure communication/execution for all markets
• Ensure all inventory targets are met, including turnover, terminal stock, and movements to sale outlets.
• Encourage inter-store transfer of stock before sale and direct the distribution of goods to achieve store sales/stock turn/gross margin goals across areas of responsibility.
Internal Stakeholder Relations
• Develop and maintain effective working partnership with divisions particularly Operations Manager/ Area Managers and Store Managers, while ensuring teams execute brand/category strategy appropriately in all markets
• Ensure all new stores are in adherence to the brand standards
• Drive decision-making and problem solving relating to merchandise issues at the division and location level for all markets
• Ensure team results, relationships and processes are aligned with the Company’s values.
• Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of merchandising work processes.
• Ensure the marketing calendars are adhered to and specific brand and budgets are maintained
• Collate feedback from operations team to understand customer preferences and buying behavior for brands.
Logistics Interface
• Ensure that product moves efficiently through the supply chain.
• Monitor logistics and delivery costs.
• Ensure effective communications on inventory control and ensure warehouse management processes are in place for each brand across the region
People management and development
• Provide leadership and direction to direct-reports towards the achievement of business strategies, goals and objectives.
• Guide and motivate direct reports to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles, offering honest and constructive feedback.
• Timely feedback on employee development
• Ensure a succession plan is in place
