Business Unit Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

Company Brief:
Our client is a leading regional group in healthcare, dedicated to contribute to the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman Markets by supplying high quality products and services to hospitals, clinics, laboratories and analytical industries. They are seeking to recruit a “Business Unit Manager” for Dubai. Position will be reporting to the Line Manager in UAE.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Biomedical engineering or in the specialty, MBA is a plus
• 7 years’ experience in sales of healthcare products (Medical devices) to hospitals and medical centres preferably in UAE/GCC and at least 2 years in sales team supervision in same specialty
• Preferably Arabic speakers but it’s not a must
• Setting tasks and overseeing daily actions plans, weekly, quarterly and yearly
• Setting sales targets and profit margin for individual team members
• Supervising pricing strategy
• Double visits on bi-weekly basis as average with each member in the sales team and quick response to field and customer demands
• Forecasting consumables / disposables and equipment with the purchasing coordinator and OSD Management
• Assessing HR in recruitment of his team
• Managing the sales team and the sales figures and making sure the targets are achieved on each quarter
• Managing the aftersales services, the installations, training, deliveries & the follow ups Attending collection meetings, and inventory meetings, and taking responsibility on outcomes if apply to the business unit
• Coordinating with OSD – invoicing/ LPO/ Quotes/ Demos
• Coordinating with Finance for payment collection and customer negotiations
• Internal Approvals for staff & procedures
• Reimbursement approvals & vacations and sick leaves
• Going through the weekly reports of the staff and getting the workflow organized Maintaining existing customers & managing contract renewals
• Creating new leads, prospecting and sorting & quoting of the potential business
• Brand awareness, promotions, conferences & technical meetings
• Product positioning & business development (Assisting the division manager in new principals and responsibility of new sales initiatives)
• Follow up on opportunities until closing & negotiating the contracts
• Weekly reports to the division manager
• Application training, with coordination of the service team and the application specialist for the product line in the business unit
• Demonstration and presentations especially for the government hospital committees
• Events management (Exhibition’s, congresses, workshops, conferences, seminars, etc…)
• Clinical troubleshooting, advising the technicians with the proper way of using the products, and maximizing the potentials of its use
• Preparing & applying for Tenders
• Preparing ORF & PRF (once PO’s are received)
• High energy & committed with a genuine sense of passion for work
• Strong Business Acumen & strategy setting & implementation
• Strong writing skills and a high level of fluency in English language with excellent communications skills
• Market research ability/ familiarity
• Project Management Highly organized and able to deliver effective results to tight deadlines
