Claims Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Insurance or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with an Insurance Company or TPA
  • Responsible for managing the insurance claims department
  • Motivate, train and manage the staff to ensure
  • Ensures complete and sound claim settlements, legal reviews and investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage and monitor staff performance, in order to identify any weaknesses, analyzing root causes, and dealing with them accordingly
  • Generally manage the staff of the department, ensuring adequate resource levels, controlling absenteeism and ensuring that general work and office standards are met and the Claims Procedure Manual is followed
  • Liaise with the Operations Department in the matter of credit control
  • Manage and monitor the central claims mailbox to ensure timely and accurate booking of inward claims, and identify early, any increases in volume/tasks which may result in a backlog requiring additional resource
  • Identify any failures of, or changes required, to current procedures and make recommendations
  • Manage and monitor the handling of routine problems and inquiries directly related to the Claims function
