Customer Service Supervisor – Dar Al-Shifa Hospital

1- Prepares work schedules, assign personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions
2- Verifies all insurance benefits assigned to the clinics to determine if insurance coverage meets the standards of admission as stated in hospital policy.
3- Ensures that the reception unit complies with established policies, quality assurance
programs, safety environmental and infection control policies & procedures
4- Coordinates with medical, nursing and accounting staff to ensure appropriate placement of patients and compliance with third party payers and other regulations
5- Familiarizes with the pricing n explain the financial liabilities to the patients.
6- Dealing with customer and patients concerns and questions in a quick and efficient manner
7- Ensures clinic appointment in collaboration with the Nursing Unit based on patient preference, condition and diagnosis
8- Review patient admission records to ascertain insurance coverage and the possible need for financial assistance; obtain insurance authorizations or initiate applications for public assistance as indicated.
9- Act as the key Counselor for patients and families regarding financial issues such as insurance, eligibility for assistance and verify insurance coverage with insurance companies.
10- Supervise the provision of accurate information to patients on such matters as the scope of the health care treatment services provided by The New Dar Al-Shifa.
11- Supervise, facilitate and formulate the necessary guidance and arrangements for patients admission and discharge from The New Dar Al-Shifa .
12- Provide day-to-day staff supervision support as appropriate, to include the guidance and procedures for patients documents preparation, collection and verification of records, and maintenance of data on clinical activity.
13- Follow and advise, as appropriate, on improving the established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety/environmental standards.
14- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
