Field Sales Manager

1. Set sales objectives and project expected sales volume for existing and new products.
2. Support the creationof a business plan for each individual sales area / person, ensuring a focus on
core customers, prospects, and vertical markets
3. Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand,
changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
4. Drive ad hoc promotions/deals to increase sales.
5. Facilitate the implementation of promotion grids.
6. Ensure informed about time frames for promotions.
7. Communicate promotional activities to field force.
8. Ensure understanding of objectives of various promotions.
9. Ensure POS material to stores.
10. Ensure sufficient stock has been ordered within required timeframes.
11. Ensure promotional activities have been implemented and maintained.
12. Provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
13. Ensure generic Planograms are implemented.
14. Ensure store-specific planograms and category flows are implemented and maintained.
15. Communicate sales targets to the Field Force Increase volumes in stores.
16. Identify in-store cross-merchandising opportunities.
17. Ensure stock pressure is applied.
18. Ensure forward share is a reflection of ROS.
19. Monitor in-store pricing.
20. Ensure out-of-stocks are limited.
21. Ensure sufficient ordering of stock on NOD.
22. Ensure delivery of stock as per NDD.
23. Minimise credit notes.
24. Monitor sales to ensure sales targets are achieved.
25. Develop alternative strategies to increase sales.
26. Ensure timeous promotional activities are implemented.
27. Provide continuous feedback as per client requirements (competitor activities, promotions, ROS, product recalls, innovations, pricing, planograms, and urgent deliveries).
28. Liaise with customers and depot's (stock pressure, stock holdings, new innovations, deliveries, credit notes, special deliveries, staff, ROS, price, reviews, category flows, planograms).
29. Compile trade visit reports.
30. Negotiate new or existing listings in stores with store managers.
