Housekeeping Supervisor – Black Pearl Consult

Our client, a group of companies is currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who will be responsible for managing all the resources according to the house needs, to coordinate with maintains, office boy, cleaners, house stewards, drivers and third parties as per her
directions.
Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Managing people
• Ensures that staff report to work as scheduled. Document any late or absent employees
• Manages and direct palace staff like cleaners, maids, drivers and waitresses according to the needs to ensure sufficiency of manpower for a function assigned.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate superior which leads to her highness’ satisfaction.
• Communicates and personally attends to VIP guests, during function.
• Assigns specific side duty tasks to each attendant at the end of the day for the following day and sees to it that the staff knows and accomplishes their duties.
• Trains and motivates staff where possible
• Guides the servers in set up of tables and place settings.
• Direct Servers on timing of service throughout function.
Managing resources
• Anticipates the palace’s needs, responds promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
• Coordinates with the maintains, office boy, cleaners, house stewards and drivers to review scheduled group's menu and equipment requirements
• Makes orders (special orders) as per requirements
• Monitors progress and leads discussion with staff each period.
• Projects supply needs for the department.
• Manages palace’s inventories and maintains equipment.
• Organize Transportation to offsite catering events.
Quality and Hygiene
• Responsible for the overall sanitation and cleanliness of the work areas, banquet rooms and storage areas Retrieve and organize Banquet Event Orders (B.E.O.'s) according to the palace standards. Make note of changes as received from Catering and post function sheets.
• Provide unique and creative ideas to enhance event experience.
• Responsible for consistently implementing the service standards and operating procedures in the catering service.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
