IT Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

– Graduate in IT discipline with at least 15 years’ experience of Information Technology in Insurance Industries
– Principal point of contact on all IT-related activities
– Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
– Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
– Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
– Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and information systems
– Develop, monitor and control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
– Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
– Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
– Be familiar with network operating system and all hardware and software
– Ensure orientation to new users of existing technology
– Ensure training to staff about new and potential use
– Ensure individual training and support on request
– Ensure maintenance of current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
– Understand company’s strategic and operational capabilities and provide IT solutions
– Overseeing all IT activities
– Ensures system compliance and regulatory requirements
– Honing up the skills of all computer users on the proper usage of their respective system modules
– Fine-tuning business processes and meeting company goals in providing IT solutions
– Advising employees on the proper usage of applications
– Communicating effectively with all depts to identify their needs and provide them with solutions
– Motivate, assist and develop skills of IT staff to excel better in their designated positions
– Plans and regulates IT activities. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work of IT staff
– Initiates and implements improvements in all areas of IT responsibility
– Oversees all help desk activities and responds to escalated help desk issues
– Directs the implementation and maintenances of company’s software
– Help determine technical and business goals
– Make detailed plans for accomplishment of these goals
– Prepare and provide supporting reports for the treaty renewals
– Providing statistics, what-if-analysis, simulations, triangulation for studying and designing new products or observing trends
– Loss ratios and similar statistics prior to major account renewals
– Generates and provides company’s production by line of business along with the comparison of the previous similar period to keep him informed of the growth
– Provides all essential financial analytical reports
