Marketing and Event Manager

1. PURPOSE At a pivotal time for this newly created role of Marketing Manager and Event Coordinator will work closely with senior, corporate and operational teams to develop and deliver communications and events for both an internal and external audience. For the internal audience the objective is to enhance and enable employee engagement, organizational change and performance. In addition, delivering a range of effective external communications that support ’ s aspiration to be the market leading Employment Services Provider in KSA by engaging both private sector employers, unemployed Saudi Job seekers and Government stakeholders. fundamentally believes in the power of work to a person’s life and therefore strives to be a great place to work. The role will therefore work closely with our Executive team, HR colleagues and People Development Team (L&D) to work on impactful projects that shape and support this goal. Your day-to-day role will be varied and fast-paced. From spending time working closely with senior leaders, to getting stuck-in to the ‘doing’, rolling out key projects and content. Key areas of responsibility include: promoting ’ s services to employers and other key external stakeholders through targeted PR and marketing activity; promoting ’ s offering to Jobseekers to increase attachment volumes; developing and managing the company’s brand identity and managing the company's online assets. There will also be a requirement to manage events to promote our services to these audiences. This role regularly liaises with senior operational and corporate stakeholders across the business to plan and review marketing activities, and is responsible for managing key relationships with external communications and design agencies. 2. ACCOUNTABILITIES . Strategic planning Work with the Head of HR, senior internal colleagues and external specialists to set the strategic direction of marketing activities for the company. Develop effective external strategies to: promote our services to employers and other key external stakeholders through targeted marketing and PR activity; develop a clear corporate position and identity. Undertake internal and external research to inform strategic planning, identifying key stakeholders and their needs, and regular competitor monitoring. Work with the new business teams to provide marketing advice appropriate to new opportunities. Implementing marketing plans Take responsibility for translating the external marketing strategies into achievable plans. Develop detailed, costed plans to deliver agreed objectives, in conjunction with the Head of Operations, the CEO and other senior stakeholders. Regularly consult with internal stakeholders to review plans and evaluate the effectiveness of activities through customer feedback analysis, ensuring good usage of feedback channels. Regularly review external plans, monitoring the external landscape and competitor activity, and seeking input from specialist agencies. Managing internal communications Deliver and/or support established operational and corporate communications channels (weekly operational update, weekly poll question, regular intranet news updates) Working with the key senior internal stakeholders to conduct a strategic review of all internal communications and channels and produce and a plan for improving effectiveness and efficiency. Once signed-off, implement delivery of the newly improved plan. Support the Executive team to develop and implement their leadership development plans (including regular COO manager calls) in addition to ad hoc support, advice and delivery as necessary (such as company announcements, internal and external presentations). Lead on the planning and delivery (sometimes at short notice) of corporate announcements and news. Ensure that all communications are accurate and maintain the highest standards of English and grammar. Brand guardianship Take a leading role in developing corporate positioning, identity and key messages. Act as brand guardian – ensuring brand guidelines are consistently applied across all channels. Change and transformation communications In this role you may be required support for high-profile programs that require significant organizational and/or process change. You will work as part of a wider project team (Service Excellence), often reporting into project boards and the senior and executive team Employee engagement / experience (We are programme) – Manage the communications related to employee engagement programme (working closely with the HR team) – Membership of the People Committee Budget accountability Work with the Head of HR and Operations Director to develop annual department budget. Take day-to-day responsibility for managing the department budgets. Ensure all activity is carried out cost-effectively, efficiently and within budget. Agency relationship management Work with the Head of HR to identify suitable external agencies, for design, marketing planning, media buying, production etc. Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of external agencies, ensuring that agreed objectives are met to budgets and deadlines. Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of each agency’s outputs to ensure value for money. High-level internal stakeholder engagement Ensure relationships are established with the core internal stakeholders (CEO, COO, Director of Employer Services, Director of Employability & Skills, Regional Employer Services & Skills heads) to coordinate national and local requirements. Driving continuous improvement / innovation Take the lead on instilling a culture of continuous improvement in the business. Look outside the organization for fresh ideas that enhance the team’s activities. 3. RELATIONSHIP-BUILDING Consult with the CEO, Executive Team and senior corporate managers on strategic planning and review the effectiveness of marketing activities. Build relationships with regional operational management and staff across the company to facilitate and coordinate regional marketing campaigns. Global Build relationships with key global stakeholders to align initiatives and leverage value from the Global business. External agencies / suppliers Manage contracts with external agencies / suppliers delivering services in areas including design, marketing and production.
