Media Coordinator – Al Mamlaka المملكة

Job Purpose:

The job holder will be responsible for the development and moderation of broadcasting content via relevant social media platforms to foster a widespread reach. The job holder will also serve as the primary contact for online portals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develops the channel’s online portfolio to build brand visibility and increase exposure through various social media tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relevant local and global websites.

Coordinate and participate in internal digital meetings and follow up closely on deadlines.

Provides ideas for the development of the social media strategy, planning and ideation for the channel’s online media management

Implements the social media strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the channel to ensure its effectiveness

Creates innovative content for communication via the social media to execute creative, high-impact social campaigns

Monitors social media channels on a daily basis or on a need basis for content issues and day-to-day activities

Acts as the primary contact for all online portals and become an advocate of the channel in the social media space, engaging in dialogues and responding to viewers / clients where appropriate

Monitors the online accounts of key figures/politicians/parties for news content, and flags to news team when appropriate

Tracks activity by other news sources / competition and bring Al Mamlaka at the forefront through social media

Maintains a personal and professional mix of participatory expertise in social media channels

Develops and maintain relationships with relevant contacts across the media industry

Monitors effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyses, reviews, and reports on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results

Monitors trends in social media tools, trends and applications and updates the channel’s approach in accordance

Liaises with the Marketing and PR team to ensure alignment of social media content to corporate guidelines

Self-Management

Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year

Strives to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role

Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended

Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.

Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, guidelines and quality standards at Al Mamlaka.

Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the manager in order to meet department objectives.
