Providing nursing care, treatment and follow-up of patients, according to Doctors’ prescriptions, protocols applied in service and universal hygiene
standards/precautions, in order to ensure the quality and continuity of care for the targeted population.
Knowing, promoting, implementing and following up the universal hygiene standards/precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control, security rules and other protocols and procedures in the medical premises and ensuring high standards of hygiene of his/her working environment. Respecting medical secrets and confidentiality at all times.
Ensuring patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding,personal hygiene, movements and comfort. For ER and OPD nurse, ensuring triage
of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the Doctor when necessary.
Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumption, statistics, registers, health files,etc.), ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise. Participating in data collection and keeping Doctors/supervisors informed .
Liaise with external agencies or stakeholders including MoH who provide referral options to enable appointments to be arranged for NCD Irbid patients.
Contact patients and make appropriate arrangements to enable patients to get to appointments especially when these are not in Irbid.
Ensure collection of necessary feedback from the referral actor and relay to the Irbid medical team.
Ensure that all patients identified for the referrals understand the process, limitations of MSF including management of patients’ expectations.
Provide clear information about medical context (change of the organization or their criteria for the referrals, or any organization stopping their care provision, or any new available services) to project medical team.
Make sure the referral criteria are well communicated and understood internally.
Will collaborate with the flexible Medical Doctor and the MAM to ensure that all aspects of the NCD program provide good care through involvement with Quality Improvement activities, and
Compile the data per referral actor at the end of month and share with project medical team.
Participate in the development of the action plan related to operational changes.
Salary: 872 JOD
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract – with the possibility of switching into an open ended contract based on the overall performance & operational needs.
