Pricing Manager – MINDFREE Consulting

Company Brief:
Our Client is one of the leading multinational company in freight forwarding and logistics and they are seeking to recruit a “Pricing Manager” for the Air / sea freight department reporting in to the head of product air & ocean freight Abu Dhabi.
Job Requirements:
• Manages and drives desk performance
• Develops and ensures execution of commercial AFR/OFR strategy in country (global, regional, local)
• Responsible to ensure ACC/OCC delivers adequate opportunity prioritization, pricing, routing and solution design (timely and quality wise) in alignment with Sales
• Ensures country ACC/OCC responsibilities realization (pricing input collection, adherence to standards and pricing instructions, roll-up of bid input into country response, country-to-country pricing, pricing campaigns, factor-based BC pricing; incl. setting up internal selling rates)
• Liaises with local Head of Product, Head of Sales Manages risk taking process (e.g. local decision, regional, global escalation)
• Deep knowledge of AFR/OFR forwarding business with a higher focus on OFR
• Preferred experience in people management role (leadership, motivation and people skills) but will consider candidates who are yet to develop their management skills
• Strong project management skills and ability to cope with multiple bids in parallel
• Strong analytical skills and good communication skills
• Commercial experience/capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure
• Strong problem-solving mentality
• Preferred to have Abu Dhabi market knowledge, will consider candidates from Dubai and/or ME
• Ensures country ACC/OCC responsibilities realization:
• Drives competitive pricing Monitors compliance of country ACC/OCC to global pricing standards and makes necessary changes
• Drives country decision making on risk taking Executes pricing campaigns (e.g. seasonal offers)
• Provides pricing for Sales growth on country level (including standard factor-based pricing methodology), supports and follows up with Sales Answers GBT and region to region pricing requests, from break-down of pricing instructions to roll-up of pricing input and submitting
• Executes country bid response, in particular qualification of bids received, formulation of bid strategy, gathering and checking of pricing inputs, consolidates country bid response
• Designs adequate solutions for customers based on the input of Sales and takes pricing decisions Interacts with customers in alignment with Sales
• Sets up the country ACC/OCC as per guidelines provided by HQ
• Selects and trains, and develops country ACC/OCC team
• Manages ACC/OCC Desk, monitors output quality and makes needed changes
• Translates AFR/OFR and commercial strategy into actions of local ACC/OFR and monitors progress
• Oversees, prioritizes and allocates incoming tasks
• Proactively drives continuous process improvements to raise quality and shorten throughput times; discusses ideas with other country ACC/OFR leads, regional and global ACC/OFR lead
• Acts as AFR/OFR subject matter experts in trainings, for customer visits, local AFR/OFR conferences, etc.
• Acts as go-to entity in country for special global projects
