Sales Manager Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products – Petrochemical Conversion Company

Develops and implements business development strategies related to Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products.
Develops and implements policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls related to Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products.
Contributes to the development of the business development budget and monitors financial performance of Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products versus the budget.
Promotes quality to all business development activities to uphold and maintain the high quality standards of PCC’s products and services
Develops and executes sales plans based on the overall PCC business development plan.
Analyse business performance in Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products and propose any required enhancements or adjustments in order to achieve or exceed forecasts
Coordinates market research/analysis related to Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products to assess PCC’s market positioning within that category and develops/adjust sales plan or sales activities accordingly
Monitors the market activity within Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products and makes recommendations on new products/enhancements or diversification based on current and predicted market activity
Manages the RFQ (request for proposal) process, to identify bids which serve in the best interests of PCC whilst providing the best service to customers
Contributes to the product development cycle, providing expertise related to Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products from identification, research, feasibility studies, business planning, raw material identification, product development into handover, stage.
Develops a price model for products in Caps & Closures / Medical and Pharmaceutical Products along with PCC function stakeholders (manufacturing, finance, technical)
Implements the sales order process within own sales category and remains up to date on production line scheduling
Develops a business partner and key accounts network within sales category and nurturing relationships with external services providers and implement customer credit terms and negotiations
Identifies key relationships / potential accounts within sales category to develop continuity of business and achieve sales targets via key accounts
Approves and ‘sets up’ distributors on behalf of PCC, supporting them through pricing, technical support, sales calls with customers, inventory requirements and credit approvals
Manages customer accounts within category and handles any escalations
Manages the effective achievement of departmental objectives through the leadership of department – setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal
Encourages and implements positive change when required through continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
Ensure all sales related reports of PCC are prepared on time and accurately and meet all requirements, policies and standards
Performs all other related duties or assignments as required
