Senior Specialist – Bid & Proposal Management – MDC Business Management Services
• Facilitates the proposal development process from start to end providing high quality bids.
• Oversees the creation of proposal documentation and presentations for potential customers.
• Coordinates with Solution Architect to produce the tendering plan and establish the cross departmental tendering team.
• Works closely with Account Managers and Solution Architects to estimate project costs.
• Responsible for the production of a winning bid or tender.
• Determining proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs).
• Developing proposal plans, outlines and schedules.
• Reviewing and monitoring progress and resolving issues and problems.
• Producing a costed bid plan and gaining authorization for the plan.
• Producing proposal templates, establishing the bid library and other bid supporting tools and resources.
• Ensuring use of MDCBMS best practices, templates and procedures.
• Providing a leading input to on-going development and improvement of the bid process, proposal templates and supporting materials.
• Recording, analyzing and managing issues, risks, changes and dependencies during the bid.
• Confirming that the proposal is deemed acceptable from the perspectives of related departments such as Business Sales, Commercial, Procurement, Human Resources, etc and that it is authorized at Bid Approval.
• Planning and managing the bid activities, resources and bid risks.
• Gathering proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals.
• Working with Solution Architects on identification of areas of skill and capability required for the bid and the subsequent contract fulfillment, either from MDCBMS or from Third party suppliers.
• Coordinating with other MDCBMS departments and outside vendors for the timely input for the generation of a bid response on time.
• Deliver completed written proposal responses to the VP/Bid & Proposal Management, SVP/Solution Architect & Bid Management against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required.
