Senior Technical Support Engineer

Job purpose: Assist management with planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning and control of assigned projects/clients and providing strong technical support to all end users.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Focus:
– Answer questions from end users, prospective customers, and site personnel about features, capabilities, operation of equipment, and LV/MV, ABS, UPS, and various electrical products and partner services.
– Managing tools and test equipment inventory ensuring diagnostic tools are properly calibrated as required.
– Manage repair parts while maintaining proper cycle counts.
– Conduct root cause analysis to identify and lead to effective problem solving.
– Perform general repairs and hot fixes.
– Inspect and maintain electrical services and
Technical Quality:
– Review drawings/design of products in accordance with contract specification and class requirement.
– Be focal point for daily urgent electrical
and/or control issues.
– Evaluate products, services, equipment, systems, procedure, and routines with focus on increasing operational regularity, efficiency and general safety.
– Regularly follow up on fixes to various problems and work with vendors and key partners to leverage long term reliability improvements.

– Ensure products and services meet class and client requirement and technical specification.
– Inspect electrical services and products.
– Visit sites and follow up on projects, issues, upgrades required, routine tasks, etc.
Relationship Administration:
– Support clients and engineers researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and providing
prompt and accurate solutions.
– Communicating client/project needs to technician and engineering personnel.
– Advise clients on proper use and address specific issues.
– Assisting end users resolve technical issues with GCG products and services providing troubleshooting and support via various mediums.
