Sponsorship Manager – Qatar Foundation
To develop a range of initiatives inherent for business growth through commercial partnerships, by targeting key local and international partners. Responsible for recommending and implementing sound sponsorship strategies, and developing and managing key strategic alliances, all of which focusing on driving commercial value for The Foundation.
Key Result Areas:
Presents creative new visions and concepts to do business which support the Community Development Division and the wider QF.
Devises and implements with Senior Management a commercial partnerships strategy and plan to identify opportunities to improve revenue generation.
Establishes and promotes a new business culture and mindset in the organization so as to strategically expand revenue-generating avenues through strategic partnerships.
Generates opportunities by observing industry trends and monitoring corporate business and CSR priorities that align well with QF initiatives.
Identifies potential new commercial prospects, develops and manages these relationships that contribute and support QF activities.
Collaborates with cross functional teams on projects so as to ensure that all efforts are aimed at expanding image and achieving set annual revenue goals.
Creates and implements on-going partners’ relationship management programs that support current endeavors.
Remains accountable for achieving sponsorship growth goals that parallel overall organizational goals and objectives.
Establishes methods to monitor performance against set objectives and develop periodic analysis and reports.
Makes recommendations to senior management based on an up-to-date awareness of the world economic situation, best business practices and adherence to the governance manual.
Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the line management.
Operating Environment, Framework & Boundaries:
Work is performed in a multinational, multicultural office environment.
Adherence to QF Policy and procedures is required.
Regular meetings outside of the office with existing and potential partners is expected.
Communications and Working Relationships:
Supervisor – frequent contact to receive guidance and approvals.
Management teams in Community Development Centers – regular communication for coordination of activities, to create synergies and identify business development opportunities.
Other internal and external stakeholders – collaborate to establish successful partnerships.
Problem Solving & Complexity:
Evaluates, compares and relates information from across the business.
Identifies broader implications of proposed solutions across the organization.
Uses own experience and evidence from theory, other industries and technologies to identify problems and understand situations.
Reviews existing policy to enable effective problem solving and judgment by the team.
Decision-Making Authority & Responsibility:
Exhibits sound judgment to anticipate potential implications of all decisions; balances benefits and risks and identifies areas of uncertainty.
Evaluates information by penetrating questions, thus ensuring complete information is available to make an informed decision.
Arrives at well-researched decisions that balance quality service and cost.
Encourages and supports appropriate risk-taking by subordinates when making decisions.
