Main purpose of job
To develop and implement policies which provide an effective tax
planning and management service to the company.
Main responsibilities
1. Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to
ensure the effective and optimal planning and management of the
company’s tax liabilities.
2. Estimate the company’s tax liability and advise accountancy staff
to ensure that adequate provision is made in company accounts.
3. Oversee the compilation and despatch of all relevant statutory
returns, ensuring that these are accurate and meet all deadlines.
4. Discuss and negotiate the company’s tax liability with relevant
statutory bodies.
5. Analyse the taxation aspects of any agreements made by the
company with third parties and advise managers accordingly.
6. Act as the company’s principal adviser on all matters relating to
taxation to ensure that the company’s tax liabilities are optimized.
7. Maintain detailed and up-to-date knowledge of all current tax
legislation and other matters which might impact on the company’s
tax liabilities.
